In diferents myths, the human race was created by the gods, but is also very common the idea of first couple like Adam and Eve in the Abrahmic religions or Askr and Embla in the Germanic paganism. Also is very important mentionet that Gods usually punish humanity like the Original Sin in the Christian mythology or the Pandora's pithos for the Greco-Roman Religions.
For some myths is very important the concept of Cosmic man, a being that functions as a precursor to humanity, as seen in the asiatic mythologies like the Hindu, Iranian, Kabalah and many many others. Therefore the Cosmic Man is a universal concept for the myths around the world.
